How do I schedule an appointment?

Please call me at 310.993.5064 or email kdornigphd@gmail.com to schedule a 15-minute complimentary phone consultation to connect personally and help you decide if you’d like to make an appointment.  We can talk about your needs, and you can ask any questions you have about therapy.  This first conversation is a good opportunity for us both to discover whether we are a good fit to work together.  

What are your hours?

I offer flexible scheduling including evening appointments and weekend appointments when necessary.   

How long does this take?

Sessions are usually 50 minutes, but sometimes clients prefer double sessions.  Therapy can be short or long term depending on your needs and goals. At the beginning of our relationship, we will identify what you want to work on and how we can accomplish those goals.  Therapy is different for everyone, and an individualized approach is best.

What is your payment policy and fees?

Please contact me for my current fee structure.  Cash, check and credit cards are accepted for payment.  Payment is due at the time services are rendered.  

What is your cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please call within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment time.  The fee for the appointment will be due if missed or cancelled with less than 24 hours notice.  Thank you.  

Do you accept insurance?

While I am not on any health insurance panels, I can provide you with a monthly billing statement that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.  To find out how much you can expect to be reimbursed, simply call your insurance company and ask what costs they cover for an, “out of network mental health provider”.
